About:

Located on the edge of the Allegheny National Forest, Wesley Woods offers a variety of options for potential summer campers to get away from it all and experience the beauty of God’s creation, while making new friends and catching up with old ones. Whether you are enjoying scenic trails by horseback, swimming in the pool, being challenged at the ropes course or chatting around a camp fire, you will not only have plenty of opportunities to grow relationally with those around you, but also to grow in your personal relationship with God.

Founded in 1951, and celebrating our 60th anniversary this summer, Wesley Woods is a yearround camp and retreat center affiliated with the United Methodist Church. In the summer, Wesley Woods partners with countless volunteers and summer staff to offer over 40 programs for kids and youth.

Our horse and pony program is a favorite among many of our campers. Mike Eck and his staff lead campers through the Progressive Horsemanship Program(PHP.) Started in the early 1970’s, by Mike’s mom, Dorothy, the PHP has been teaching campers the basics of safe horsemanship for over 30 years.

Campers also have the opportunity to be a part of camps that include adventure programming, (ropes course, rock climbing, rappelling, canoeing) drama and the arts, (MACD & SACK) sports, fishing, swimming, science camps, (A.R.C. & Air and Pony Express) sampler camps and more! All of these programs serve as a platform for relationships that convey God’s love to the campers and encourage an ongoing personal relationship with him.
